Recruitment is structured and realistic for high-quality RP. Application: Submit an BCSO application reviewed for professionalism and RP ability. Academy: Self-paced (up to 5 days). Study ranks, law, ethics, procedures. Take a 20-question proctored exam (45 mins, 75% to pass). Fail = repeat. Field Training: Based on score — 70–75%: 5 ride-alongs; 80–85%: 3 ride-alongs; 90–100%: 1 ride-along.
