Guildbase is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all users. These Content & Safety Guidelines ("Guidelines") outline the standards of conduct we expect from everyone who uses our platform.

These Guidelines apply to all content created, shared, or transmitted through Guildbase, including but not limited to guild names, descriptions, application forms, application responses, team communications, custom branding, and any other user-generated content.

By using Guildbase, you agree to abide by these Guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent bans, and where appropriate, reports to law enforcement authorities.

Our Commitment to Safety

We take the safety of our community seriously, especially the protection of minors. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation, predatory behaviour, and content that endangers young people. We actively cooperate with law enforcement agencies worldwide and report illegal content to the appropriate authorities.

1. Child Safety & Protection of Minors

The safety of children and young people is our highest priority. We have an absolute zero-tolerance policy for any content or behaviour that exploits, endangers, or sexualises minors.

1.1 Strictly Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent ban and report to law enforcement:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any sexual content involving minors, including images, videos, text, or AI-generated content
  • Sexualisation of Minors: Any content that sexualises, romanticises, or depicts minors in a sexual manner, including fictional representations
  • Grooming: Any attempt to build trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation, manipulation, or abuse
  • Solicitation: Requesting sexual content from minors or attempting to arrange meetings with minors for sexual purposes
  • Sextortion: Threatening to expose sexual content involving minors or coercing minors into producing such content
  • Trafficking: Any content that promotes, facilitates, or glorifies child trafficking or exploitation
1.2 Predatory Behaviour

The following behaviours are prohibited and will result in immediate action:

  • Adults soliciting personal information from minors (address, phone number, school, etc.)
  • Adults attempting to move conversations with minors to private or off-platform channels
  • Adults sending unsolicited private messages to minors
  • Creating guilds or application forms designed to target or collect information about minors
  • Posing as a minor to gain trust or access to young people
  • Sharing content that normalises inappropriate adult-minor relationships
  • Encouraging minors to hide communications from parents or guardians
  • Offering gifts, money, or opportunities to minors in exchange for personal information or meetings
1.3 Age Requirements
  • Users must be at least 13 years old to use Guildbase
  • Guild owners must verify that their communities comply with age requirements
  • Application forms must not be designed to collect sensitive information from minors
  • Guilds targeting users under 18 must implement appropriate safeguards and content restrictions
1.4 Reporting & Response

We report all apparent violations involving child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), and relevant law enforcement agencies. We preserve evidence and cooperate fully with investigations.

2. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are prohibited on Guildbase. Creating, sharing, or distributing such content may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

2.1 Illegal Content
  • Content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
  • Content that promotes, facilitates, or instructs illegal activities
  • Content related to drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, or human trafficking
  • Stolen data, hacked accounts, or content obtained through illegal means
  • Counterfeit goods, fraudulent services, or financial scams
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, etc.)
2.2 Violence & Threats
  • Threats of violence against individuals or groups
  • Content that glorifies, promotes, or incites violence
  • Graphic violence, gore, or content depicting real-world harm
  • Instructions for carrying out violent acts
  • Content that celebrates or trivialises violent tragedies
  • Threats to reveal personal information (doxxing)
  • Encouraging self-harm or suicide
2.3 Hate Speech & Discrimination
  • Content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or medical condition
  • Slurs, derogatory language, or symbols associated with hate groups
  • Holocaust denial, genocide denial, or revisionist content that minimises atrocities
  • Content that promotes or glorifies hate groups or extremist ideologies
  • Dehumanising language or comparisons targeting protected groups
2.4 Harassment & Bullying
  • Targeted harassment of individuals or coordinated harassment campaigns
  • Cyberbullying, intimidation, or persistent unwanted contact
  • Sharing personal information without consent (doxxing)
  • Non-consensual intimate images or threats to share such images
  • Creating content to mock, humiliate, or degrade specific individuals
  • Impersonating others to damage their reputation
  • Brigading or coordinated attacks against individuals or communities
2.5 Sexual Content
  • Pornographic or sexually explicit content
  • Non-consensual sexual content or "revenge porn"
  • Sexual services or solicitation
  • Content depicting sexual violence or non-consensual acts
  • Unsolicited sexual content or advances
2.6 Dangerous & Harmful Content
  • Instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or dangerous substances
  • Content promoting dangerous challenges or activities
  • Content that promotes eating disorders, self-harm, or suicide
  • Dangerous misinformation about health, safety, or emergencies
  • Content promoting dangerous conspiracy theories that could lead to real-world harm
2.7 Fraud & Deception
  • Phishing attempts or fraudulent schemes
  • Impersonation of individuals, organisations, or Guildbase staff
  • Misleading content designed to deceive users
  • Fake reviews, testimonials, or endorsements
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or other financial fraud
  • Cryptocurrency scams or fraudulent investment opportunities
2.8 Spam & Platform Manipulation
  • Mass unsolicited messages or communications
  • Automated or bot-generated content without authorisation
  • Artificially inflating metrics or engagement
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
  • Deliberately disrupting the Service or other users' experience

3. Guild Owner Responsibilities

Guild owners have additional responsibilities to ensure their communities remain safe and compliant with these Guidelines.

3.1 Content Moderation
  • Guild owners are responsible for moderating content within their guilds
  • Implement appropriate moderation practices for your community size
  • Remove prohibited content promptly when identified
  • Report serious violations to Guildbase using our reporting tools
  • Do not create guilds for the purpose of hosting or distributing prohibited content
3.2 Application Form Responsibilities
  • Do not collect unnecessary personal information from applicants
  • Do not create application forms designed to harvest sensitive data
  • Do not ask for information that could be used for identity theft or fraud
  • Clearly state how applicant data will be used
  • Protect applicant data in accordance with applicable privacy laws
  • Do not share applicant data with third parties without consent
3.3 Team Member Management
  • Only invite trusted individuals as team members
  • Assign appropriate permissions based on role requirements
  • Monitor team member activity and remove those who violate guidelines
  • Do not grant administrative access to unknown or untrusted individuals
3.4 Community Standards
  • Establish clear community rules that align with these Guidelines
  • Create an environment where members feel safe to report concerns
  • Do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or abuse within your guild
  • Take appropriate action against members who violate guidelines

4. Protecting Yourself Online

We encourage all users to take steps to protect themselves while using Guildbase and interacting with online communities.

4.1 Personal Information
  • Be cautious about sharing personal information (real name, address, phone number, workplace, school)
  • Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication
  • Be wary of unsolicited requests for personal information
  • Verify the legitimacy of guilds and applications before submitting sensitive information
4.2 Recognising Warning Signs

Be alert to potential predatory behaviour or scams:

  • Requests to move conversations to private or off-platform channels
  • Excessive flattery or attention from strangers
  • Requests for personal photos or videos
  • Offers that seem too good to be true
  • Pressure to act quickly or secretly
  • Requests for money, gift cards, or financial information
  • Attempts to isolate you from friends, family, or community
4.3 For Young Users
  • Never share personal information with people you don't know in real life
  • Tell a trusted adult if someone online makes you feel uncomfortable
  • Never agree to meet someone you've only met online
  • It's okay to block or report people who make you feel unsafe
  • Nothing that happens online is your fault—always reach out for help if you need it
4.4 For Parents & Guardians
  • Talk to your children about online safety and appropriate behaviour
  • Encourage open communication about their online activities
  • Know what platforms and communities your children participate in
  • Teach children to recognise warning signs of predatory behaviour
  • Report any concerns about inappropriate contact with your child

5. Reporting Violations

We rely on our community to help identify and report violations of these Guidelines. All reports are taken seriously and reviewed by our Trust & Safety team.

5.1 How to Report
  • In-Platform Reporting: Use the report button available throughout the Service to flag content or users
  • Email: Send detailed reports to [email protected]
  • Emergency Contact: For urgent safety concerns involving imminent danger, contact local emergency services (999 in UK, 911 in US, 112 in EU)
5.2 What to Include in Reports

When reporting violations, please include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Username or account ID of the person involved
  • Guild name or ID where the violation occurred
  • Description of the violation
  • Screenshots or other evidence (if available and safe to capture)
  • Date and time of the incident
  • Any other relevant context
5.3 Confidentiality

We treat all reports confidentially. We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the reported party, except where required by law. We will never retaliate against users who make good-faith reports.

5.4 False Reports

Submitting false or malicious reports is a violation of these Guidelines. Users who repeatedly submit false reports may face account restrictions or suspension.

6. Enforcement

We take a graduated approach to enforcement, with actions proportionate to the severity of the violation. However, serious violations—particularly those involving child safety—result in immediate and permanent action.

6.1 Enforcement Actions

Depending on the nature and severity of violations, we may take the following actions:

  • Warning: A formal notice that content or behaviour violates our Guidelines
  • Content Removal: Removal of specific content that violates our Guidelines
  • Feature Restriction: Temporary limitation of certain features or capabilities
  • Temporary Suspension: Temporary suspension of account access
  • Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from the platform
  • Guild Removal: Removal of guilds that systematically violate Guidelines
  • Law Enforcement Referral: Reporting to appropriate law enforcement authorities
6.2 Immediate Permanent Ban

The following violations result in immediate permanent ban without warning:

  • Any content or behaviour that sexually exploits minors
  • Predatory behaviour targeting minors
  • Sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Credible threats of violence
  • Terrorism-related content
  • Human trafficking
  • Attempting to evade a previous ban
6.3 Appeals

Users who believe their account was actioned in error may submit an appeal to [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed by a different member of our Trust & Safety team than the original reviewer. Please note:

  • Appeals for violations involving child safety are not accepted
  • Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the enforcement action
  • Include your username, the action taken, and why you believe it was incorrect
  • We aim to respond to appeals within 14 days

7. Cooperation with Authorities

We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies in investigating serious crimes, particularly those involving the exploitation of children.

7.1 Mandatory Reporting

We are required by law to report certain content and activities to authorities:

  • United States: Child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
  • United Kingdom: Child sexual abuse material is reported to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the National Crime Agency (NCA)
  • European Union: Reports are made to relevant national authorities as required by the Digital Services Act
  • Other Jurisdictions: We comply with local mandatory reporting requirements
7.2 Information Preservation

When we identify or receive reports of serious illegal activity, we preserve relevant account information and content for law enforcement. This may include:

  • Account registration information
  • Login history and IP addresses
  • Content created or shared
  • Communications relevant to the investigation
  • Any other information relevant to the matter
7.3 Law Enforcement Requests

We respond to valid legal requests from law enforcement agencies in accordance with applicable laws. We require proper legal process (court orders, warrants, subpoenas) before disclosing user information, except in emergency situations involving imminent danger.

8. Platform Safety Measures

We employ various technical and operational measures to keep Guildbase safe:

8.1 Proactive Detection
  • Automated systems to detect and remove known CSAM using PhotoDNA and similar technologies
  • Pattern detection for potential grooming behaviour
  • Spam and fraud detection systems
  • Content moderation tools and filters
8.2 Human Review
  • Trained Trust & Safety team members review flagged content and reports
  • Escalation procedures for serious violations
  • Regular audits of enforcement decisions
8.3 User Tools
  • Block and mute features
  • Report buttons throughout the platform
  • Privacy controls for your account
  • Two-factor authentication

10. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines from time to time to address new issues, reflect changes in our practices, or comply with legal requirements. When we make significant changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • For material changes, we will notify users through the Service or by email
  • Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines
