Control when and how many applications your template accepts with submission limits, scheduling, and quotas. Manage application volume effectively.

Understanding Limits

Template limits help you manage the flow of incoming applications. You can restrict submissions by time, quantity, or both.

Time-Based

Quantity-Based

Cap total submissions

Limit per applicant

Scheduling Applications

Set when your template accepts submissions:

Setting Description
Open Date When the template starts accepting applications
Close Date When the template stops accepting applications
Timezone Which timezone the dates use

Setting Up a Schedule

  1. Open your template settings
  2. Navigate to Limits & Scheduling
  3. Enable Schedule Applications
  4. Set your open and close dates
  5. Save your changes

Note

The template page shows a countdown when applications aren't yet open, and a "closed" message after the deadline passes.

Submission Limits

Cap the total number of applications your template accepts:

Limit Type Example Use Case
Total Submissions "First 100 applicants only"
Daily Limit "50 applications per day maximum"
Active Applications "Max 200 in review at any time"

What Happens at the Limit

When the limit is reached:

  • New applicants see a "limit reached" message
  • The form is hidden or disabled
  • Existing applications continue processing normally
  • You receive a notification that the limit was hit

Per-User Limits

Control how many times a single person can apply:

Option Behaviour
One Application Only User can never reapply to this template
One Active Application Can reapply after previous is resolved
Cooldown Period Must wait X days between applications
Unlimited No restrictions on reapplying

Pro Tip

Use "One Active Application" for most cases. This prevents spam while allowing rejected applicants to try again later.

Your subscription plan affects template limits:

Approaching Limit

You'll receive a notification when you reach 80% of your plan's application limit. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited applications.

Quotas & Analytics

Track your usage in the template analytics:

  • Submissions Today — Applications received today
  • This Month — Monthly submission count
  • Remaining — How many submissions until limit
  • Limit Status — Whether limit is active or paused

Temporarily Closing Applications

Need to pause applications without changing your schedule? Use the Close Applications toggle in template settings. This immediately stops new submissions while preserving your configured dates and limits.

  1. Go to your template settings
  2. Find the Status section
  3. Toggle Accepting Applications off
  4. Toggle it back on when ready to resume
